Far Cry 2 PC Game takes place in a small Central African state mired in civil war . The government has recently collapsed, leaving two factions in control: the UFLL, United Front of Liberation, led by Addi Mbantuwe, leader of the opposition; and the APR, Alliance for Popular Resistance, led by Oliver Tambossa. Both factions are clamoring for the interests of the inhabitants, but both have shown their lack of compassion, hostility, greed, and a general disregard for the welfare of the people. Both factions have hired some mercenaries to reinforce their power during the conflict. The recent depletion of the nation’s diamond mines has thrown the country into great disarray, leaving some mercenaries without pay and without leaving the place.

The player assumes the role of a mercenary, who arrives in that state with the mission of eliminating the Jackal, an arms dealer who has been selling arms to the two factions involved in the conflict. The player must achieve his goal by doing whatever it takes, even if he has succumbed to the immorality of the warring factions and the Jackal himself. The player, affected by malaria , must carry out a series of missions for both factions individually and sometimes supported by colleagues. Plots will be discovered along the way and the player will have to survive the continuous wars and ambushes.
